It’s day 54 after my nose surgery: silicone on the nasal bridge and ear cartilage for the nasal tip. A few days after an inflammatory reaction started around the ear cartilage area, dozens of bumps like small pimples appeared over the silicone area. The doctor was someone who often went to China, and only checked my situation through photos. He prescribed antibiotics, and I took pills and received intravenous antibiotics for more than 10 days. When he returned from China and saw me, he said, “It’s not inflammation. It will be fine with time. Everyone gets red like you; they just don’t say it. There’s nothing the hospital can do. Just forget about it and live your life,” and I came back after hearing that.
