Before <1 year ago? I think this photo was taken with makeup on><This is a photo I took just today> It has been 3 years since I had double eyelid surgery, and I did an inline crease. At the first place where I had a consultation, they said my eyes could only be operated on to almost an inner double eyelid level, and that when a double eyelid crease is made on my eyes, the mucous membrane everts so the inside of the eyelashes is all visible ㅜㅜ. They also said that because I have protruding eyes, even after double eyelid surgery there would be more areas getting irritated compared with the average person, so the chance of the crease loosening would be high. But I didn’t like doing it as inner double eyelids, and since I’m very scared, I wanted the anesthesia to definitely be sedation anesthesia, but they said they wouldn’t do sedation anesthesia either. So I said I would get consultations at other hospitals first and left. It was also very expensive, and the director was unfriendly too....
(The surgery was done at the second hospital!) At the second hospital I went to, they recommended incision + ptosis correction, and said sedation anesthesia was possible! The hospital director was someone I knew through several degrees of acquaintance, so I was able to do it really cheaply, but honestly this hospital was famous for making results look very obvious and sausage-like. The older girl who introduced me also had it done at this hospital, and she swelled up a lot and looked like it had failed, but I just did it at this hospital anyway lol. They even did the design right before surgery, and although I was originally supposed to do the incisional method, after entering the operating room I said on the spot that I would switch to the buried suture method, and had the surgery.
In conclusion, I don’t really regret it. I had the surgery for a really, really low price, and as the director at the first hospital said, it is a bit disappointing that some mucous membrane is visible, but I don’t think it looks sausage-like like other people’s, and in person it looks even less obvious. It’s even the buried suture method, but it hasn’t loosened for 3 years now lol. But usually double eyelids get smaller over time, whereas mine seem to be getting bigger, so I’m worried ㅜㅜ...
I don’t know if anyone needs the hospital info, but it’s in Busan, and the place I went to is really famous for botching surgeries, so if you need it, I’ll tell you the hospitals where my friends around me got good results...
