It’s been about 4-5 months since I had double-eyelid surgery and with my left eye, when I open it, I feel like it’s coming undone. My eye opens properly, but when I lift my chin and look in the mirror, it opens less... It also feels kind of dry and I keep feeling a foreign-body sensation. Is this a side effect??? And it’s been slightly red and swollen continuously too. Is that also because it’s coming undone...? I went to the clinic not long ago, and at that time it wasn’t as bad as now. They only told me it looked like there was no problem to the naked eye. Should I go to the plastic surgery clinic where I got my double eyelid done, or should I go to an ophthalmology clinic first??
재재수술은없다 If you feel a foreign-body sensation inside your eye, it’s probably best to go to an ophthalmology clinic first. They need to flip the eyelid and check whether there is a suture or not. They say even a tiny suture can cause a foreign-body sensation. I’m also currently going to ophthalmology and using eye drops because of a foreign-body sensation that started 3 months after double-eyelid surgery. In my case, there’s no suture, but they said it could be because of inflammation, oil glands, and atopy, but I think that doesn’t make sense because I had atopy since birth, while this happened after double-eyelid surgery. And it’s good to tell the plastic surgery clinic in advance too. They can also check whether there is a suture or not.
냐미9 [@NoMoreReRevision] Thank you for explaining in detail...... I did go to an ophthalmology clinic, and they said there wasn’t anything like inflammation. They only told me that because it’s fixed with sutures, my eye might be getting rubbed? and could be dry, so I was just living with it. Then it got worse again, and no matter how I looked at it, it felt like the eyelid was coming undone, so I contacted the plastic surgery clinic, but they kept talking as if that couldn’t be the case lol. If it were obviously really severe to anyone, I’d push harder too, but it’s different day by day, with some days severe and some not, and it’s not consistent, so it’s totally stressful;; Still, opening my eye is getting harder and harder, so I’m going to the plastic surgery clinic again. It’s been over 6 months now, so I’ll hear what they say^^ Anyway, thank you I rambled on without realizing it
재재수술은없다 [@nyami9] No!! My foreign-body sensation has gotten much better, but the multiple creases are still severe, so I’m waiting until 6 months. Just in case, keep taking photos or videos!
