During winter break when I was twenty, my mom took me by the hand and I had plastic surgery at a shabby OB-GYN clinic in Incheon. As soon as I went in, the doctor asked, "How much do you drink?"
I didn't know much about alcohol at the time, so I said one bottle of soju. Then he told me to go to the bathroom and wash my face with soap, and when I came back after washing my face, he immediately told me to lie down on a bed in a corner that looked like an operating room.. And right away I was given propofol and fell asleep.. I woke up to the grinding sound of bone, drrrrk drrrrk.. The area around my nose was being ground down.. I could hear everything the doctors were saying to each other. This is how you do it here. This turns out like this.. It sounded like someone was teaching someone else. And then, what should we order for lunch, and so on and so forth.
Then extreme pain came, and I said it hurt, and the doctor said there was nothing he could do and that I had to endure it. I finished the surgery crying my eyes out like that and was almost in a panic.
The result was just a so-so high nose, and I've lived with silicone for 12 years now. Now I want to say goodbye to it. For no real reason, I've been very depressed and had a hard time because of this silicone.
