Why I chose the cheapest LASEK at the clinic

First, my prescription was minus 4 in both eyes, and I had worn glasses for almost 14 years, since around fourth or fifth grade. A friend had studied ophthalmology-related subjects and had LASIK herself, so she shared a lot of information with me. The same-day surgery discount was 200,000 won, bringing the price to 900,000 won. But since it has been a year, I don't remember the exact explanation. In the end, they said LASEK generally produces good vision. There was no need to choose an expensive option; as long as your vision comes out well, that's all that matters. Even if features like reduced glare or visual stability are included, the result ultimately varies from person to person. They also said LASIK depends more on the surgeon's technique, while LASEK is finished with a machine doing the work, so I thought there was even less reason to pay for an expensive procedure if the surgeon's hand made less difference. (This was not said by the clinic; I heard it from people around me.) The clinic's examination showed that my eyes were healthy and my corneas were relatively thick, so I went ahead with the 900,000-won LASEK. My vision has been excellent so far, with absolutely no discomfort and no overcorrection. I regret not doing it sooner. I am extremely satisfied.
