I had medial epicanthoplasty and full-incision double eyelid surgery in early January, and I honestly feel like it’s totally botched;; But my family and friends say it’s way too early to judge whether it’s botched or not when it’s only been 2 months. Some people say with incision surgery, it takes at least 1–2 years for all the swelling to go down, settle into place, and show the final result... But as the person who had the surgery, don’t you kind of know right after it’s over, like, “Ah, this is botched” or “this went well”? What do you all think? Has anyone thought it was botched, but then it got better over time? Or did you end up getting revision surgery? If I were only unhappy with the shape, I’d just wait, but it feels like a functional side effect, so I keep imagining only negative outcomes
고밍밍 I also had incisional ptosis correction, epicanthoplasty, and double eyelid surgery when I was in 9th grade, and it looked so different from my previous eyes, my impression changed too, and even after 6 months the swelling still made my eyes look like sausage eyes, so I thought maybe it was ruined. But seriously, after 1-2 years the swelling completely went down and it settled properly lol Don’t worry, time really is the cure. It’s been 10 years since my double eyelid surgery now!
앞트임망함ㅠㅠ [@Gomingming] Really????? I hope mine is like that too I mean, the line came out really pretty and the scarring isn’t bad, but the epicanthoplasty is the problem Did you also have your under-eye fat roll disappear after epicanthoplasty and get symptoms of pulling in the muscles around your eyes? And then did it get better?
고밍밍 [@EpicanthoplastyFailed] Since it was 10 years ago, I don’t remember very well, but... I did have a bit of a pulling feeling around my eyes! I had severe Mongolian folds.. But looking at it 10 years later, it seems like my epicanthoplasty has loosened lolololol It’ll gradually get better! It’s only been 2 months~ Let’s watch it for at least 6 months to a year!
앞트임망함ㅠㅠ [@Gomingming] Wow, I had severe Mongolian folds too! Now that someone who felt symptoms similar to mine has appeared, I feel a little less anxious haha Thank you so much~
고민중이지만 Right after I had canthoplasty, I thought it was ruined and that my life was over I still regret every day that I should have been more careful
앞트임망함ㅠㅠ [@StillThinkingAboutIt] Ha, me too... I really want to turn back time...
만정잉 That’s exactly me.. As soon as I came off the operating table and looked in the mirror, I was like, “Ah, they’re sausage eyes, it’s ruined,” and then people I knew said incision surgery needs 3 years to settle, so I gritted my teeth and waited. I’m in year 5 now and they’re still sausage eyes, so I’m looking into revision Since it’s only been 2 months, for now all you can really do is manage the swelling diligently
