Review of philtrum reduction + mouth corner surgery (9 months later)

I showed the before-and-after photos first, then below I summarized the pros and cons all at once. The photo taken at the hospital before surgery, where they asked me to write a review. Honestly I had no particular thoughts, just wanted to heal quickly.. that was all I could think. At 3 months, I remember being annoyed because the scar did not seem to heal as fast as I expected. 9 months later First, the less good points: Recovery was a bit long. But I do not think mine was unusually long; it was a more than average speed. If you look at the 3-month photo, even then the needle-track scar and a line scar along the upper lip still remained in a way that looked somewhat unsightly, so I was extremely annoyed. As for the mouth corners, the angle is definitely what I wanted, but the scar line looking artificial was very disappointing. After 6 months it gradually improved. And the surgery cost was a bit higher than my budget, around 5 million won? It was around that much. The satisfying points are: The curled-in part of the upper lip was smoothed out well. It still does not feel completely natural, but it is 100 times better than before. The outer length was greatly reduced compared with before surgery. The mouth corner line was shaped beautifully. The upper lip definitely became plumper. It is impossible to deny that the overall result is just plainly prettier. Honestly, when I see reviews where the mouth corners have almost no scar and look completely different after just 2 to 3 months, I feel a bit dumbfounded lol. This is definitely the kind of surgery you have to watch for about 6 months, no matter what. Recovery speed differs from person to person, of course, but the 2 to 3 month period is exactly when the scar is at its worst.. I know that better than anyone. Now, 2 friends of mine who had the same surgery are also at the 2 to 3 month stage, one at the same place as me and one at a different place, and their condition is almost the same. Even if you cover it with makeup, it is a period when it is clearly visible up close, so it would be good to choose the timing carefully before surgery. People who have this surgery usually do it a lot in autumn and winter, but if it were me, I would rather do it in summer so that when the 2 to 3 month mark comes, autumn would arrive and management would be easier. Then, with the goal of having it fully settle and look pretty by the following summer, I think that would be even better. Anyway, that was my honest review.
