I visited because a close acquaintance was highly satisfied after having surgery at that hospital. During the consultation, they told me that people usually have nose surgery after double-jaw surgery, and the surgical methods seemed more or less similar from hospital to hospital. (Another hospital mentioned osteotomy and even correcting the crooked nasal bones, but this hospital explained that because I originally have facial asymmetry, making the nose perfectly straight could actually look stranger, so I found them somewhat trustworthy.) I had a complex about my wide nostril base, but they explained that it was that my mouth was small, not that my nostril base was wide. Since I had almost no glabellar height, I requested height in the glabella area and wanted the nose to gain height without becoming much longer. To be honest, I did not have major ambitions in terms of shape, so I excluded plastic surgery clinics that said they would use costal cartilage to add a lot of height and ENT clinics that said they would correct the crookedness with osteotomy, and chose this hospital.
Honestly, deep down I had been thinking of doing it here from the beginning, so in the end I had surgery at this hospital!
The advantages are that the doctor explains things well, and the fact that the same doctor, same hospital, same location, and same consultant have continued for 10 years is not easy, so I trusted them. This was very, very significant. At least for nose surgery, since it is a surgery with many possible side effects, I thought that even if I was less satisfied, it must not be ruined. The fact that they provide free AS for 2 years is also a major advantage!
The downside is that if you want a lot in terms of height or shape, your opinion may not align with the director’s. (For example, I expressed my personal opinion that I wanted nostril base reduction and, even if ear cartilage had to be used, height and nasal tip shape.. but in the end I did not get nostril base reduction, and only septal cartilage was used.) Personally, at another clinic, because my septum was small after double-jaw surgery, they said if too much was removed it could later wobble or collapse, and recommended costal cartilage, or at minimum cartilage from both ears, so I’m worried that a shape issue may develop later. An acquaintance who had surgery here said their nasal tip came down, so I expressed my thoughts about height and the nasal tip, but even right after surgery the height felt insufficient, so I’m very disappointed.. (Because noses gradually come down, they do not go up..)
- Conclusion: If you want a nose that is aesthetically satisfying in shape, even if it is really excessive, I recommend another hospital. If you want a natural change that is safe with fewer side effects, even if it feels a bit disappointing, I highly recommend this clinic.
- Cost: Even though there was no nostril base reduction or osteotomy and ear cartilage was not used, the estimate was the same as a hospital that said they would use ear cartilage and osteotomy to correct crooked nasal bones. I don’t think it was cheap, but I proceeded at this hospital because I wanted to do it safely.
