I had a reconstruction done, and it left a very obvious large scar. For the first time in my life, I became someone who worries about facial scars. People asked me what on earth the scar in front of my eye was. When I make facial expressions, the scar bunches up and becomes even more noticeable. I cut and gathered the skin, but hairs that were not growing in that original spot started growing over the scar, and when I asked why that was happening, they treated me like some strange person and asked me where the hair was, saying they couldn’t see it. I can see it right in front of my eyes, but if they can’t see it, they should bring a magnifying glass. I’m so upset. Turns out many people who had reconstruction got the same hair growth issue as me. More than the hair, the scar stress was so bad that I got laser treatment, and my double eyelid surgery also failed, so I had revision surgery.
