I'm on day 13 after double eyelid surgery with an incision. My eyes were suitable for the buried-suture method, but instead, I had a stye surgery scar that had settled like a very thin inner double eyelid, and that was the problem. At other hospitals, they suggested using the buried-suture method along that line to make a complete inner double eyelid, but at the hospital where I had it done, they said they could release that scar adhesion through an incision, so I did it that way. I think my case is probably not common, but I'm posting a review in case it helps. For now, the scar hasn't completely disappeared yet, and it looks like bumpy bits of flesh are attached between my eye shape and the double eyelid line. Compared with the first day after surgery, it seems to be settling down. But one side has a bit of scabbing, so I don't know exactly when it will go away.
