My eyes weren’t a huge complex, though of course I did admire eyes with double eyelids. But my nose was such a big complex for me (hump nose), so after getting my parents’ permission for nose surgery, I casually asked if I could also get double eyelid surgery while doing my nose. I thought they’d be totally against itㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ but they told me to go ahead... so I somehow ended up doing it. Now I’m unhappy with my nose because I have a scar left.. If I hadn’t done double eyelid surgery, I think I would have regretted plastic surgery itself a lot. No, of course I still regret it now too, but back then my nose was such a big complex that I also can’t imagine having lived without doing it. But if I could go back, I think I would have somehow found a way not to put an implant in my nose. (Because now, just from anxiety, I’ve started wanting to remove the silicone from my nose.)
Anyway, I didn’t know this, but apparently I had ptosis and was opening my eyes with my eyebrows. So I had ptosis correction, double eyelid surgery, and epicanthoplasty. I remember checking “as natural as possible” between “as pretty as possible” vs “as natural as possible.”
I didn’t know, but because I originally opened my eyes with my eyebrows, the distance between my eyes and eyebrows was actually close. So I think it would have looked weird if I had made it thick as an out line (personal opinion). For my nose, it was done under sedation, and since I was doing them together, maybe because the eyes would swell if they did the nose first, they did the eyes first. The eyes were under local anesthesia.
Ah... I thought double eyelid surgery itself wasn’t that painful, but is ptosis correction supposed to hurt? I don’t know if something has changed now, but for me it really hurt....... Why did it hurt even though I was anesthetized... I think they also told me to open my eyes in betweenㅠㅠ They said if I flinched too much, I’d bleed, and in the end one side did bleed in the middle... So while they stopped the bleeding? I think the doctor stepped out for a bit, or there was a short break.
I was a bit scared of the doctor too, partly because I had flinched. But my nose surgery took a long time, and after that ended, even though I didn’t ask, the doctor checked my double eyelid once more. Thinking about it now, compared to the doctor who did my nose, that was genuinely touching;
Anyway, I think the double eyelid surgery turned out well. It was incisional, but when I wear makeup and apply eyeshadow, it doesn’t show. Maybe because I’m getting older, the incision area seems more visible than before when I close my eyes, but there aren’t many people I’d show my bare face with my eyes closed to... so it’s fine...
Oh, since I had surgery for ptosis, I remember trying not to open my eyes with my eyebrows out of habit. Now I don’t even know what it feels like to open my eyes with my eyebrowsㅋㅋ
But my eyes aren’t the kind that people say are incredibly pretty, so I wouldn’t recommend the hospital...
Oh, and I was worried about foundation or eyeshadow creasing into the double eyelid line, so I asked about it, and my friend who naturally has double eyelids without surgery said she gets that too. Of course, there are probably people it doesn’t crease on much..
