I started using double-eyelid glue in my first year of middle school, and by my first year of high school, a crease formed. After doing it diligently for three to four years, I ended up with the line I wanted, a large out-fold line. I lived like that for six years, but without makeup it was faint, and in the morning it would loosen a little. Since I kept opening my eyes by using my forehead muscles, it stressed me out so much that I eventually got double-eyelid surgery.
I saw something called natural adhesion, and they said I wouldn’t need stitches removed, swelling would be minimal, and recovery would be quick, so I went right away for a consultation and proceeded with the surgery. When I asked if it would come undone, they said my eyelids were thin and I already had a large double-eyelid crease, so it was the kind of eye that would not come undone easily. But they also said that even after surgery, there probably wouldn’t be a huge difference from before, though it would become clearer. I said I wanted to do it because the loosening was stressing me out, and that sounded good, so I had the surgery.
I’m originally the type who doesn’t swell much, so after the surgery, the swelling was only a bit severe until about day three? From day four, it was just like the amount of swelling you get after eating ramen. It’s been two weeks now, and many people can’t even tell I had double-eyelid surgery. People who know me say that when I’m bare-faced, my eyes look clearer and more defined. I’m completely satisfied. If, like me, you like your double-eyelid line but are stressed because it keeps getting faint and loosening, I totally recommend natural adhesion~~~
