I had it done about 10 years ago, right after becoming a college student. It was my first consultation ever, and I was scared because of safety, so I first went with my mom, had the consultation, signed the contract, and came back. At the time, I consulted at two places including this place and another one, and I think I made the final decision because they emphasized safety a bit more. I didn't know it then, but eye surgery is often done under local anesthesia at other places; back then I had it under sedation anesthesia without any doubts. Fortunately, I haven't had any major problems so far. (Sometimes on days when I'm very swollen, my eyes look like the double eyelid is loosening, or there is a tiny amount of scar tissue along the eye incision line.) The eye surgery wasn't dramatic, but it turned out well enough that a distant relative I saw after a long time asked for the hospital information and the doctor's name before leaving.
