Five years ago I had double eyelid surgery with the same director here using partial incision, and about a year ago it loosened, so I had it redone. They used sedation anesthesia and local anesthesia, then woke me up and checked while I opened my eyes in between. It seems like the director prefers a flashy line.
During the manager consultation, I said I didn't want incision, and while I was talking to the consultation manager, they said that since I had partial incision before, a revision was only possible with full incision? On the actual surgery day, the director recommended incision but said partial incision was also possible, so I had partial incision^^ Since incision is more expensive, it looks like the manager was pushing incision. (It was a young female manager) I said I had an important event in a month so the swelling needed to go down quickly and asked if partial incision wouldn't be better, but..... well, the manager said there was no difference in swelling between partial incision and incision The consultation manager was so lacking in expertise that my trust dropped sharply. And the tone was a bit off too, her personality is kind of strange. After my surgery I was waiting for my mom, and other people were also saying the consultation manager was rude and stuff. So I guess I wasn't the only one who felt that way. It seems like you can only consult with the director right before surgery; at other times, consultation isn't possible. Other hospitals let you consult with the director even if you aren't having surgery.. If you want to decide after talking with the director too, you probably can't do surgery here. And because I was a revision case with the same director, they didn't explain the surgical method separately either. I think they did tell me when I came for the first surgery. Also, maybe because the director is in peak season, it seemed like he was operating from morning until evening. So if you're having surgery, I'd recommend morning.
I was satisfied the first time (the lines on both sides were slightly different, but I liked them), so I came back for revision, but the manager just ruined my mood.. It's been a month since the revision now, and the swelling still hasn't gone down completely, but it's okay.
