I went for a consultation at the end of January. I went to a clinic in Sinnonhyeon.
At that time, it was peak winter vacation season, so they were busy. First, I made a consultation reservation through KakaoTalk and visited for the consultation around lunchtime?
As expected, there were a lot of people. There were many female clients, but there were also really many men lol. Maybe about a 7:3 ratio? Men were 3.
There were even Chinese clients, so they had a Chinese-speaking guide there. I wondered how good it must be for word to spread all the way to China..
Anyway, I wanted the swelling to go down as quickly as possible, so I asked if, by any chance.. it could be done within the next week lol.
Honestly, I thought it would be impossible. January is winter vacation season for high school and college students, so it’s an incredibly busy season.
But the consultation manager immediately confirmed it and really scheduled me for the very next week lol. Everything moved so fast.
So I got my surgery appointment just one week after the consultation..
And the consultation manager was so kind. First, I told her the surgeries I wanted, and when I asked what she thought about this or that,
she explained everything in detail. What I really liked was that she didn’t push other procedures on me by saying, “How about this?” or “How about that?”
The consultation took place in a very comfortable atmosphere. The consultant showed me other people’s review photos, and intentionally showed me someone whose Before eyes looked similar to mine.
She showed me the photos and said that if I had surgery, it would look something like this, then showed me the After photos, so that was even better.
After consulting with the consultation manager, she asked whether I had a director I wanted. I told her the doctor I had seen online,
and a little later I also consulted with that doctor and we adjusted the line and decided how to proceed.
I had ptosis correction + non-incisional double eyelid surgery + epicanthoplasty.
I was a little nervous about the price range because it was Gangnam, but it was not as expensive as I expected, so I was very satisfied and decided right away.
That day, I had a blood test and an electrocardiogram done immediately.
A week later, it was finally the day of surgery.
I rode the elevator up feeling nervous. As expected, even though it was early morning, the staff handled everything smoothly.
Changing clothes, taking photos, and so on..
As expected from a popular clinic, there were many people from the morning. But the sofas were private? Like chairs with very high partitions,
so there was no time to see the faces of people around me. lol
They told me not to come with makeup on, but even if you apply toner and lotion, they tell you to wash your face there anyway. They also had mouthwash and foam cleanser.
After waiting, I finally entered the operating room.
White walls and cold air.. First, I got an injection from the nurse for sedation anesthesia and waited for the doctor.
The doctor came, and then I fell asleep under sedation anesthesia. Near the end of the surgery, they woke me up and had me open my eyes to match the line.
Because I was half-asleep, it was hard to open my eyes, but... they sutured carefully.. It didn’t hurt at all.
After surgery, I went to the recovery room, used an ice pack, and then went home.
Oh, before leaving, I got my prescribed medication from the pharmacy and also bought sterile cotton swabs.
I was so swollen and, because of the stitches, my eyes didn’t look like human eyes, so I tried not to look in the mirror. I couldn’t wash my face anyway.
Ice packs were annoying, but I did them morning, afternoon, and evening, and used the cold weather to take one-hour walks in the evening.
Taking medicine was fine, but applying ointment was annoying, though I kept doing it consistently.
After about three days, the swelling went down much more. And then the swelling kept gradually improving.
The day came to remove the stitches. I think removing the stitches took less than 30 minutes.
I lay down, had the stitches removed, and after that there was no more reason to go to the clinic.
It has been one month now, and I think all the swelling is gone.
My eyes are definitely clearer, and it’s honestly amazing that I don’t open my eyes using my forehead anymore lol.
Also, I had been so, so worried about epicanthoplasty, but honestly I think the best thing I did was the epicanthoplasty. lol
The epicanthoplasty really doesn’t look obvious, but the fold? at the inner corners of my eyes improved a lot.
The ptosis correction also went well, so it became completely an inner double eyelid. That’s exactly what I wanted.
Since my eye shape changed, my whole impression seems to have changed, and I really like it.
