Before <before nose surgery> After <after nose surgery> I had surgery on 2018.12.10, and after joining this community, I realized I hadn't posted a surgery review! I'm only posting it now... haha. I don't know if it will help, but I'm posting it so people with bulbous noses can refer to it.
At 28, I finally had nose surgery, and at the time I was really careless and rushed into surgery after only watching a promotional video by the YouTuber ㅊㅁㄹ. I only joined this community after my nose surgery because I had no information and kept searching Naver Knowledge iN. TMI))
The YouTuber had the same bulbous nose as me, and the post-op change was so dramatic that I think I was tempted by that and did it right awayㅠㅠ So I'm letting you know in advance that my post doesn't include clinic-shopping reviews...
When I first visited the hospital, I felt a little trust because I saw banner photos there (there were a lo~~~~t of photos of celebrities taken with the director...). There were also several hospital staff members, and it felt like there were more foreigners than Koreans. I had already made a consultation appointment and talked with the consultation manager. I said the surgery I wanted was alar base reduction and just lifting the nasal tip. They didn't push anything on me, but said if I did it that way, my nose shape would look like Pinocchio... and that it would be better to raise the nasal bridge together, while showing me surgery review photos during the consultation. Still, I really didn't want to touch the bridge, so I said I wouldn't do it, and we talked about the cost. Since I wanted a closed approach, they said Director H does closed surgery and that they would bring the director in, so I waited. I went with my older sister, and she said, since you're doing it anyway, do the bridge too. To be honest, my nasal bridge was really low hahaha. As you can see in the photos, it was almost nonexistent... So I wondered if I should do it, but when the director came in, he stared closely at my face and immediately said it wouldn't look prettyㅋㅋㅋ He said that as soon as he came in. I was flusteredㅋㅋㅋ Then the conversation started focusing mainly on the bridge, my sister also told me to do it, and somehow I felt like I had toㅠㅠ So the discussion flowed toward putting in silicone, how many millimeters to put in... We decided on 3.4 mm, and he didn't say a single word about the alae or nasal tipㅠㅠ Because I was also focused only on the bridge during the consultation, I couldn't askㅠㅠ So foolishly... Then we agreed on silicone in the bridge, and the director left right away? Thinking back now, I couldn't really have a long conversation with him because he always seemed busy. After that, I scheduled the surgery with the manager and they drew blood? Maybe because I have a shellfish allergy... And I also went to another hospital for an ECG test. Maybe because insurance didn't cover it, they charged the full 30,000 won!!
I had the consultation at the end of November and had surgery on December 10. On the day of surgery, the surgery went smoothly. Maybe because it was closed surgery, it didn't hurt, there wasn't much swelling, and there wasn't much bleeding. Now it's been one month and five days. The splint was removed after one week, and then the internal stitches were removed in the second week. When I saw the director again in the second week, even then he seemed so busy... He only removed mucus and wiped inside my nose with cotton, then disappeared right awayㅋㅋㅋㅋ When I asked if he had made an alar incision, he said he had and then immediately disappeared... I guess it was an internal incision.
In the post-op photos, the top photo was taken in the second week after the internal stitches were removed, and the director put tape on it so the nasal bridge wouldn't swell. But back then, I really liked my nose. But as time goes on, it feels like my nose is becoming bulbous again :< ...The bottom two photos are ones I just took now..! My friends and older sister all say the nasal bridge is pretty, but they're not sure about the alaeㅠㅠ They said I won't know until the swelling goes down and to wait, so I'm consistently reading this community while waiting. Honestly, after the nose surgery, rather than being stressed because I dislike my nose, I resent myself for rushing into surgery without any information beforehand. Other than that part, I don't regret the surgeryㅠㅠ I also don't have much fear about side effects. That's it for the review for now, and thank you for reading this long post!! For anyone who might find it annoying to read the whole post
@@&Please make sure to read this 1. For consultations, make sure!!!!!! to talk with the director at length!!!!! I recommend a director who includes the surgical method and surgery-related discussion and does not make random surgery recommendations. 2. I hope you have surgery after gathering as much information as possible beforehand!! 3. Please throw away the thought of, 'The consultation manager is like an angel and so kind, so I should have surgery at this hospital!' (I know such cases may be rare, but just in case..) 4. If there is truly no inconvenience in your life, don't have surgeryㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ 5. It seems like bulbous noses do not undergo a 180-degree change after all..
I have another hospital appointment scheduled for the 25th, and I plan to ask again about the surgical method! To those with bulbous noses, I'll get more information again and help as much as I canㅠㅠ Everyone, stay strong!!!!
