I had double eyelid surgery several years ago. They created a natural in-line crease for me, and I was someone who needed ptosis correction too (when I opened my eyes, I used my forehead muscles to do it, leaving a horizontal forehead mark), but it turned out well without any side effects. I hear nowadays that ptosis correction is a difficult surgery. Mine went well.
