I had buried double eyelid surgery 10 years ago (in 2011). I was young then, so without comparing multiple places, I just had it done as the doctor recommended. I can’t remember the exact cost, but I think it was around that much. Considering it was 10 years ago, I think it was on the expensive side. The doctor has strong convictions and prefers a natural look, so he tends to keep the line from becoming too dramatic. He also told me that because the distance to my eyebrows was short, making the line bigger would look unnatural, and that the back canthoplasty would have no effect on my eyes, so he didn’t do it and only did the front canthoplasty. Also, my skin is very thick, but strangely enough, the double eyelids I had done here didn’t come undone. During surgery it was only local anesthesia, so I could talk, and I remember the doctor proudly saying that he tied the knot seven times(?) so it absolutely wouldn’t come undone. However, as I got older, my skin gradually sagged and the line is now mostly hidden, but I also have ptosis, so I think I need eyelid correction and am looking into revision surgery. I’m glad it didn’t come undone, but this hospital doesn’t seem specialized in eyelid correction, so I’m looking around at other places.
