Cheekbone Surgery Reviews

Review of finding my contour-surgery savior

From the front, my cheekbones spread unusually wide to the sides, while my chin was relatively short, so I was always unhappy with my facial proportions. I thought my eyes, nose, and mouth were fairly fine, but because my cheekbones stood out so much, my face looked like it had a lot of empty space. I also had a weak chin, so overall it felt unbalanced. Especially in photos, my cheekbones stood out and made my face look wider than it really was, which was stressful... Since contour surgery would be my first plastic surgery, I had many concerns and felt I couldn’t go just anywhere, so I thoroughly researched the surgeon’s career and surgical reviews. Then I consulted with Dr. Lee Ji-hyuk at ID, and he pinpointed exactly what had always bothered me!! He explained that it wasn’t simply important to reduce the cheekbones as much as possible, but to harmonize the cheekbone width and jawline with my facial proportions. During the consultation, I realized that a naturally balanced face would be much prettier than simply making it smaller, so I chose ID haha. In the beginning after surgery, my face was puffy from swelling, and I wondered when I would see a difference, but as time passed, the contours gradually appeared. Especially from the front, once the cheekbones that had protruded on both sides were refined, my face looked much slimmer and the lower face, which had looked short, appeared more balanced than before!! The profile also flowed more smoothly than before, which I’m happy about, and most of all, my eyes, nose, and mouth seem to stand out more than before haha. These days I enjoy tying my hair up tightly, and it’s so convenient not having to calculate my face angle whenever I take photos. My friends also say my impression has become softer and that my face shape looks prettier, and every time they say that I’m celebrating internally haha. I used to feel that my facial features were hidden by my face shape, which was disappointing, but now I think the overall harmony is much better. Contour surgery wasn’t an easy decision, but I’m so satisfied with the result that I have no regrets!! I almost feel like I should bow three times for every one step in the direction of the surgeon who operated on me... hahaha 💗
