Even after my nose surgery, I had no implant, so the bridge height had not improved. I was still worried that it looked low and that the bridge outline was not visible from the front. Over time, the tip had collapsed, become uneven, and looked underdeveloped, so I had revision surgery at [Clinic A]! Dr. [Doctor A] carefully felt my nose and seemed to thoughtfully determine what needed improvement and what shape would suit my face. Since my midface is somewhat long, he said it would be better not to make the starting point and overall height too high, and I’m glad I followed his advice. He has an excellent aesthetic sense Even after surgery, many clinics have surgeons who only briefly check the recovery, but here they always take enough time to examine me carefully, so I’m satisfied with the postoperative care. It has now been about a year, and it seems likely to remain this way. I’m satisfied that both the bridge and tip are clearly higher while still moderate. Even though the bridge is higher, it isn’t too thin, and the angle isn’t turned up, so it doesn’t look obviously surgical. I’m also satisfied that the incision line improved compared with my first surgery. At first, I was very anxious because it was revision surgery and deliberated a lot over whether to live with it as it was or take the risk of another operation. However, Dr. [Doctor A] provided careful counseling, which led me to decide on surgery. The result was so good that people around me even ask which clinic I used, so I think I chose very well. I kept worrying that the bridge would become lower once the swelling went down, as it had after my first surgery, but even now at one year it has naturally maintained the height I wanted. Perhaps because it was done with rib cartilage, there is no drooping of the tip either! If you are deliberating about surgery, I recommend having a consultation with the doctor. He has a good aesthetic sense and reflects patients’ opinions well.
