Eye Surgery Considerations

Review of [Clinic A] from This Community

I visited several clinics for consultations because of my double chin, and I also consulted at [Clinic A]. Since this clinic focuses on double-chin surgery, the consultation was fairly detailed. During the director's consultation, they also looked at an ultrasound and explained that the subcutaneous fat was about 3.3 mm and the deeper fat about 4.5 mm. Since the proportion of deep fat was fairly high, they said liposuction alone might not produce a major change, and recommended Stage 1 toad neck treatment, including deep-fat removal and digastric muscle correction, if I wanted a more definite effect.

They explained that Stage 1 toad neck treatment involves an approximately 2.5 cm incision under the chin, removal of deep fat, and tightening under the chin by arranging the platysma and digastric muscles. They said the bulging under the chin when speaking is also partly influenced by the muscles, so correcting the digastric muscles could improve it further. On the other hand, removing too much subcutaneous fat can make the area look uneven or line-like, so they safely remove only about 80–90%.

The event price was 1.5 million won for subcutaneous-fat liposuction + muscle tying + fixation; Stage 1 toad neck treatment was 2.75 million won, and adding digastric muscle correction was 550,000 won, for a total of about 3.3 million won. Adding an adhesion-release device using ultrasound equipment cost extra, while the blood test and sedation fees were said to be included under the model conditions. Since an anesthesiologist is permanently present and blood tests are performed before surgery, the safety procedures felt relatively systematic.

The consultation was easy to understand because the explanations were detailed and they showed many before-and-after cases, but they tended to actively recommend correcting several structures together rather than simple liposuction. Therefore, it may suit people who want a significant effect, but if you want to minimize the surgical scope, I think it is best to think carefully about which items are truly necessary before deciding.
