Hello! It has already been one month since I had Stage 1 toad-neck surgery and digastric muscle correction with Dr. Eopil-seon at [Clinic D], so I’m leaving a review. My double chin was my lifelong problem... I’ve always been thin, even since childhood, but regardless of body fat, a double chin became especially prominent after I entered my early thirties T_T. You might not notice it when looking straight into the mirror, but when I took photos, I could barely keep one out of ten. In smiling photos and side profiles, my double chin appeared 100% of the time, so I was incredibly stressed whenever I was photographed. I tried everything said to be effective—InMode, Ultherapy, and V-Olet—to solve it through procedures, but everyone with a double-chin concern will understand... They really don’t work T_T. Instead, they can cause adhesions inside, which only increases the cost when you later undergo liposuction, lol. After deliberating for a long time and doing extensive research, I finally had surgery on October 1 at [Clinic D], the place I trusted most! The combination was Stage 1 toad-neck surgery + digastric muscle correction + Elsa. My issue was more structural than fat-related, so digastric muscle correction was added, and because I had undergone so many previous procedures, Elsa was added for the adhesions. When I looked in the mirror right after surgery... I was genuinely moved. I thought, “So there was a line like this hiding under my chin too,” lol. Pain varies from person to person, but I was surprised by how little it hurt, so I did not take even one of the prescribed painkillers. Yellow bruising slowly appeared from the second day and gradually faded downward along my neck. I cleverly attached vacation days and public holidays, took a total of 11 days off, and returned to work. After 11 days, most of the bruising and swelling had settled, leaving only the jawline, so it was much easier than I expected!
Around the second week, I did develop barbon (biobond). It was not visible from the outside, but when I touched it, I could feel a slightly lumpy, firm area. Since it looked fine externally, I’m just comfortably assuming it will resolve on its own over time. The scar is visible only if I tilt my head up a lot, and it is completely invisible from the front, so it does not bother me at all in daily life. (It may also be because I’m a fairly easygoing person when it comes to the barbon and scar, haha.)
Honestly, the sharp “knife-jaw” feeling immediately after surgery became slightly less pronounced as the swelling went down and everything settled. But compared with before, the refined line is definitely visible, so I’m truly satisfied! I think it will settle much more naturally once the barbon completely resolves. For people like me who have always been thin but develop a double chin because of their jaw structure—such as a short chin or a receding chin—I sincerely recommend going straight to surgery instead of wasting money on procedures!
