Nose Re-Surgery

Six days since complete removal

I had everything removed because of a foreign-body sensation and pain, not inflammation of the nose. I was almost awake throughout the surgery, and I even saw the shape during the removal. I was surprised that it looked almost no different from my surgically altered nose; the height and shape were very similar.

It was different from my original nose because cartilage repositioning could create some shape, or so I was told. They had used every technique possible to raise my nose a lot and placed a large amount of thick costal cartilage into my small nose, but in the end it had only been raised a little, with no step-off, so I didn’t need additional reinforcement after complete removal.

I was very worried I would become unattractive, but fortunately there is almost no difference from the surgically altered nose. Three pieces of costal cartilage as large as silicone implants came out, and I’m still very swollen, so I can’t tell whether the pain is present because of that. I had no dissatisfaction with the shape of my surgically altered nose at all; I simply had it removed because of vague pain.

For reference, I now have no implant material. Even without inflammation or silicone, there are people like me who have pain simply because something was inserted, so I hope everyone thinks carefully before nasal surgery T_T.

It has only been six days, but the pain is still unchanged. If it doesn’t go away, I guess I’ll just accept that I acquired an incurable illness from nasal surgery and live with it. What else can I do if it doesn’t return to normal even after everything was removed... I really regret having cosmetic surgery.
