I trusted them a lot after watching their YouTube and blog posts, so I went for a consultation, but honestly I was surprised by how stiff the doctor was. I think that’s just their personality, but if I didn’t ask directly, they barely said anything and only gave very formal, mechanical explanations of the surgery. I expected them to look at my CT and tell me something like, “Your cheekbone is this much, and we can reduce it by up to this many millimeters,” but they didn’t say anything like that, so even now after the surgery I still don’t know how much my cheekbones were reduced. I think I’ll only know after recovery, once the swelling goes down and I check the CT. The manager was fairly kind in KakaoTalk consultation. The clinic interior was smaller than I expected, so it didn’t seem likely that there would be a substituted surgeon or shadow doctor. The operating room and recovery room are unusually in the basement, which was a little scary.
Still, the reason I had surgery here was that, aside from the doctor’s stiff personality, I trusted the expertise shown in the doctor’s blog posts, and the reviews were good.
