I had a consultation with Dr. ㅂㅎㅇ, and he was very kind, and both the staff and the consulting director were kind too. But because of LASIK, I had already been to three university hospital ophthalmology departments, I go for regular eye exams, and a close acquaintance of mine is an ophthalmologist, so I am not ptosis.... He said it was ptosis and that eye correction would be needed, and that was the important part. When ptosis is not moderate or severe and is mild, doctors' opinions can differ on whether it is ptosis or not. But oddly enough, no hospital other than this one saw my eyes as ptotic. Even if I generously accept that it is ptosis, there is absolutely no reason to do ptosis surgery for these eyes, and even if I generously accept the ptosis diagnosis, I think it would be better to have it done at an ophthalmology clinic with insurance coverage for a few hundred thousand won, rather than pay over 1.5 million won at a plastic surgery clinic under the name of eye correction. But since they said I have protruding eyes and ptosis, they said simple non-incisional surgery would not be enough, so I would need to add over 1.5 million won. From my standpoint, after researching my eye condition a lot and hearing medical opinions, I couldn't agree with that assessment. That said, JK Hospital is a plastic surgery clinic that mainly focuses not on ophthalmologic disease treatment points, but on aesthetic eyelid lines and height, shape, and whether they will loosen later or not. So I think the diagnosis results could be different. Putting all of that together, I did think that if I had double eyelid surgery, it would definitely be stable and create the line I want for a long time. Still, considering the thickness of the tissue, my skin type, my existing eye size, and other ophthalmologic opinions, I decided this is not the kind of double eyelid surgery where I should add hundreds of thousands of won right now and also undergo ptosis surgery in order to get a pretty result, so I decided not to have surgery here.
