My original natural nose was extremely short, and 5 months ago I had my first surgery at a hospital specializing in short noses, with silicone inserted in the nasal bridge and ear cartilage used to raise the nasal tip..
But because my skin is thin, my nose keeps looking red, and the ear cartilage used to support the columella started showing through severely from 2 months after surgery, and now it’s not just showing through but protruding.. The hospital where I had surgery wants to remove the silicone and lower the overall height, but there are many people who say the show-through wasn’t resolved even after revision surgery, so I’m really worried whether removal is the only option ㅠㅠ
I felt so frustrated that I went for a consultation at ㅅㅅㅇ, and they said my natural nose is too short and there’s a possibility of contracture now, so if I remove everything it could turn upward; they suggested removing all the silicone and doing revision surgery using only cartilage. Has anyone had the show-through disappear after doing it this way..? I really never want to lie on an operating table againㅠㅠ My original nose was so short, I had no nasal tip, and my skin is thin too.. Removal may be the only way, but I’m so frustrated wondering if I’m making the wrong choice again..
