After the surgery, the shape was pretty with the teardrop implant, but my armpit scar was a total disaster
Later I visited the hospital to remove the armpit scar, but that doctor had moved to another hospital, and since there would be a cost, and there had also been issues with the teardrop implant, I decided it was better to switch to smooth implants and get the scar removed at the same time, so I had revision surgery
During the revision consultation, I brought up whether the denting-like phenomenon along the cleavage line when using my arms, and the implant floating upward like an animation, could be improved. They said it would likely improve, but instead of improving, it got even worse.
After surgery, when I mentioned it, they said that because smooth implants are softer, it can only become more noticeable. The first and second doctors both said it was due to my muscle problem, but if that were the case, then during the revision surgery they should have recommended surgery above the muscle instead of dual-plane, and gone into surgery that way, right? (Even if I lean slightly over a sink to wash my hands, I can see the denting at the cleavage line)
More than a year later I contacted them again because the armpit scar had gotten worse, and the counselor kept saying it wasn’t that severe and would get better with time.
Even though more than 4 years had passed after the first surgery, the redness of the scar was still there, and even more than a year after the revision surgery the result was the same, but I really resent how a simple consultation coordinator, not a specialist, keeps making diagnoses.
I asked several times for the doctor to be sent photos of the scar, but they went out of contact. In the end I visited the hospital and got scar removal treatment again, but even after removing the stitches, the sutures buried under the skin popped up above the skin, and even a year later the result is a total disaster to the point that I can feel pain in my armpit.
If at all possible, I recommend getting surgery at a hospital where communication is good and where postoperative wound care is also possible.
