I went in for a consultation, and it wasn’t a large hospital in Gangnam; it was located on the main road at Hakdong Intersection. Rather than a large hospital with a lot of ghost surgeons or many problems, I looked for a place run by a single director-doctor. The advantage was that they reassured me about ghost surgery by saying it would be under local anesthesia, and since it really was a place where only one doctor performed everything, I felt confident. The reviews on the website all said they went there through referrals from acquaintances, and that it was natural. The overall evaluations were very good. The manager who did the consultation was also male, and he said they don’t do advertising or marketing and even leave bad reviews up on the website.. It really felt like they rely on word of mouth. That part was trustworthy. However, the line they drew for me was a bit uncertain, so I did have some concerns. And maybe because he seemed a little unmotivated, when I said I wanted the line adjusted a certain way, he just said it would be too thick and ended there... The consultation fee was 10,000 won, which was the first time I felt it was a waste. I guess there is a doctor who fits each person, so I should look around more and decide.
