D-nd Review

I came back here after a long time and there were so many related posts and secret comments that I brought over the review I left on another site. My heart aches every time I see posts and comments saying it was a disaster. I hope my review helps everyone make a wise choice. For reference, even though I suffered serious side effects, I have been holed up for two years without receiving any proper aftercare, refund, or reoperation fee. I slightly edited the post for the reader's convenience. I will receive sympathy and support for me in the form of a "like" on this review.

Short review: I hope this becomes a review that helps with careful decision-making.

This post was written based on the 'rights of consumers' guaranteed by our Constitution and the Framework Act on Consumers, and I state that beyond the purpose of sharing information and objectively sharing facts to help other patients and the public interest, it is not intended to slander this medical institution in any way.

For your proper judgment and the public interest, I will write only the facts as they are, without any flattering words. In any case, this place never admits side effects and keeps monitoring the internet; whenever a post about side effects appears, they send a certified letter saying they will hire a lawyer and sue, so even if I try to hide my identity, they will probably figure it out and contact me again. This is only my personal opinion, though. Rather than changing things here and there because I want to hide my identity and end up harming prospective patients, I will write exactly what happened. I am a patient who is almost two years out from front-corner incision, upper corner incision, eye-correction surgery, and partial incision surgery. Starting from one month after surgery, I developed complications and scars from the front-corner incision that had not been informed to me during consultation, so I contacted the clinic, but the staff said they could not provide any aftercare. (I have a screenshot of the KakaoTalk evidence.) As the swelling went down, my eyes became completely different from the design we had discussed beforehand, and the asymmetry worsened, so I came back two months after surgery. They called in a complication patient near closing time, then made me wait another hour without any explanation or apology. Only after I argued with the counter staff was I able to meet the doctor. But he said he had done nothing wrong, that this is what happens normally after surgery, and that if I wanted the scar removed, he would do a surgery called a 'front-bottom incision' for a fee. Later, after speaking with another patient who had suffered the same damage, I found out they had also been told to pay 500,000 won. (I have a screenshot of the note.) To put it simply, there is no aftercare. With a patient suffering from side effects right in front of them, they interrupted me mid-sentence, raised their voices, slammed the desk, and even hurled abuse at the patient's guardian such as 'my child... blah blah...' (I have the recording file). Calling it verbal abuse is putting it mildly; it was basically abusive parent-shaming. To reduce harm to other patients, I wrote about it in a forum thread (I did not mention the clinic name or the doctor's name, and it was essentially impossible to infer), and somehow they found out again and sent a certified letter threatening to sue with a lawyer. (I have the physical copy.) After that, we began months of negotiations. During that process, the clinic's attitude was as follows. (I have all the call recordings.) I asked for a quick reply, but they delayed for two weeks before answering, and even though the average cost of front-corner reconstruction is 2.5 million won, they joked that in their clinic it could be solved for 200,000 won and that they would pay only 200,000 won, and so on. On the final in-person visit, they even shouted that because of me they had suffered 150 million won in losses, so they would sue to receive damages. (I have the recording file.) In the end, they said they could not provide a refund or pay for reoperation, and they blew up the settlement. When I even went to ask what they had done to my eyes, they handed me a few pages of medical records and then brought in a representative and walked out. When I asked other doctors about those records, they said they did not even know what the terms meant. So that means they are not taking responsibility for the side effects they caused, right? Coincidentally, negative reviews about this clinic have been pouring in on several sites, including ***, starting from the second half of 2020. All I did was write posts describing my actual experience, without even mentioning the clinic name or the doctor's name... Who is really the one who caused 150 million won in damage? Me, or the reviews filled with resentment from many patients whose eyes and noses were ruined? Or is it about human decency? It is not something that can be measured numerically, so there is no way to know the answer, but those who need to know probably already do. I did not participate, but I even received a flood of private messages saying there was already a group chat set up for a class-action lawsuit. If they find out about this, will you change your name again and move to another clinic?

They say that when a person accumulates karma, they must surely pay the price. It is truly regrettable that, after more than 40 years of life, you still have not learned how to take responsibility for what you have done. It is not too late even now, so please learn and practice taking responsibility.

Clinic review: The clinic staff member... well, I think they played a part in causing this mess by failing to properly comfort a patient who suffered side effects. To a patient suffering from side effects, they kept tossing out emojis and said there was nothing they could do for treatment...(I have screenshots of the KakaoTalk messages.) The facilities were passable, but the waiting time was far too long, and I never once heard an apology or any request for understanding about that. As for the cost, if you pay by card, they quote a price of over 3 million won, but if you pay cash and provide photos, the price drops sharply, effectively forcing patients to choose the latter. Given the nature of ***, where you need to verify a receipt or card-payment text in order to write a review, the reason there are fewer reviews than on other sites where complaints are overflowing is probably that...

Thank you for reading this long post. If it gets deleted, I will post it again.

---That was the review I posted on another site. However, after reading various other reviews, it seems they still have not learned how to take responsibility for what they have done. If they send another threat saying they will sue, I was planning to release all the evidence, including the recordings, on multiple sites. But seeing that they are not even managing other people's reviews, I wonder if they have simply given up on review management altogether...

To everyone who suffered side effects like I did, stay strong. I'm hanging on without killing myself too.
