Diend Review

It’s a revision eye surgery case, and I was recommended eye correction, upper epicanthoplasty, partial incision, and forehead lift. During the director consultation, they said the forehead lift was the most urgent, and that the eye surgery should either be done together or after seeing the result of the lift, but in any case the lift should come first. Then during the manager consultation, when I said I hadn’t even considered a forehead lift and that the price was too burdensome (the forehead lift costs twice as much as the eye surgery), they said that for a patient like me, some people do fine with just eye correction, double eyelids, and upper epicanthoplasty, so if that’s the case I should do the forehead lift later and the eyes first. So I booked it that way, but on the day of surgery, after I changed clothes and was sitting there, the director came and got really angry, saying, “Didn’t I explain everything? I already told you the forehead lift has to come first. Didn’t I explain all of it?” What was the manager persuading me with, then? (Then please train the manager properly.) I was really trying not to burst into tears, but I held it in. Anyway, I did have the surgery. They seemed very confident about the upper epicanthoplasty, but it left a scar and it still hasn’t gone away after a year; even when I go for follow-ups, they don’t really do anything, so I only went two or three times after the surgery and haven’t gone since. For reference, I had already had inner and outer epicanthoplasty at another clinic 10 years earlier, and there was literally no scar at all then. Other hospitals kept talking about incision, so I had it done here, but if I could turn back time, I probably wouldn’t bother doing it here.
