D-End Review

First of all, I liked that the doctor seemed to prioritize safety and side effects, and that the surgery would be done without an implant. I also liked that the plan seemed to be designed around avoiding future problems. He also said that even cadaveric rib cartilage could cause issues later. He was very professional and emphasized that this was a surgery that had to be finished right the first time, so I trusted him, but there were reasons I hesitated to choose this hospital right away. If it weren’t for the issues below, I probably would have booked it on the spot.

1. They said they would only use the septum, but they would open it up during surgery and use ear cartilage if the septum wasn’t enough. That means I wouldn’t know before going into surgery whether they would use ear cartilage, so it would be a random decision on the operating table.

2. They said they would raise the tip of the nose using only the septum, without a columellar strut. That made me wonder whether it would be too natural and disappointing aesthetically, or whether the tip would droop without a columellar strut.

3. He talked about osteotomy, but I’ve seen posts saying osteotomy is risky, so I think I need to cross-check at other places while I shop around. Anyway, I was 부담ed by the osteotomy.

He talked to me for about 40 minutes like a lecture, and I had studied up beforehand so I kept asking questions as I listened, but he lightly embarrassed me by saying the consultation was getting too longㅋㅋ ㅠ

I’ll still look around some more, but for my first round of consultations, D-End was so good that if it weren’t for the concerns above, I would have leaned toward here. The consultation itself was very good.
