During the doctor’s consultation, they looked at my eyes for about 3 seconds and then assessed how the surgery should be done, held the line once, and said that amount would be appropriate. When mentioning a specific part, they started by saying, “This may be rude, but~,” which felt polite. They spoke firmly and clearly, so it did make me trust them. But I’m wondering how they can know the amount of eye fat or how thin the skin is without even touching it, and it also bothered me a bit that they only gave the doctor’s opinion without asking about the eyes or line the patient wants. They speak firmly, but I don’t know why they were in such a rush, and they didn’t explain each thing one by one. Of course, if I asked, they answered. They said medial epicanthoplasty… then suddenly said ptosis correction… So there are parts where I’m not sure exactly what they would do. It also felt a bit uneasy when they said non-incisional double eyelid surgery doesn’t come undone easily, or when I asked whether medial epicanthoplasty restoration is possible, they said it is possible, but although there are people who ask to have it cut more, there has never been anyone who asked for restoration.
With the consultant, I only had a cost consultation. Neither the doctor nor the staff were particularly unfriendly, but they also weren’t extremely kind. Not robotic, but moderately businesslike and formal. Overall, it felt like they wanted to get it done quickly and see the next person…
