Revision surgery 13 years later, day 2 after revision surgery

before<before revision>before<before revision>before<before revision><frontal view on surgery day><side view on surgery day><frontal view on day 2 after surgery><side view on day 2 after surgery><quick photo when the surgeon removed the splint to check progress on day 2 lol><it is pretty avatar-like since it is day 2, but the tip seems okay still>When I was in high school (age 16), I saved up 1.2 million won from part-time jobs and had nose surgery... I was so ignorant that I was brave back thenㅎㅎ My parents also opposed it at first, but they agreed after seeing me save up for the surgery cost. They said they used 3 mm of L-shaped silicone. One side of the septum collapsed, so my nostrils became uneven, but the doctor from the first surgery said it was fineㅡㅡㅋㅋ and I just kept living like that.

13 years after the first surgery, the silicone kept dropping and becoming visible, so I got a consultation and had revision surgery. The surgeon said my nose growth wasn’t even fully finished, so why did I have surgery so earlyㅜㅜ and scolded me... There was no contracture or inflammation, but they said if I left it alone, the silicone would soon break through my noseㅠㅠ Anyway, I decided to have the bridge and tip done with I-shaped silicone and ear cartilage, and had the surgery yesterday. I didn’t know what condition my nose would be in, so I had general anesthesia. When they opened it, they said one side of the cartilage had completely collapsed and broken into piecesㅠㅠㅠ They said it was incredibly fortunate I was getting surgery now... Fortunately, they said the surgery went wellㅎㅎㅎㅎ

For those thinking about revision surgery, you know your own nose best. If you sense something odd, please go to the hospital right awayㅜㅜ

I’ll keep posting reviews as the swelling goes down!!
