The director is extremely meticulous. He doesn’t talk much, but if you ask what is possible and what isn’t, he tells you, and he explains calmly and gently. It had been almost 20 years since I had my nose done, and this was revision surgery. Once they went into surgery, there was more calcification than expected, so what was supposed to take 5 hours took 7 hours. I think he’s the type to operate meticulously until he himself is satisfied. I’m from outside Seoul, so over several rounds I consulted at all the famous places, and because this was the hospital I contacted thinking it would be my final revision, I don’t think it would have turned out better elsewhere. All the problem areas were improved, and I was grateful that the director, the manager, and the nurses were all kind and took such careful care of me. It’s almost been 3 months, and the line has gone from a semi-upturned “beoseon” line to a straight-with-slight-curve line. It’s refined, natural, and has golden-ratio proportions. I wanted to make it a little higher, but if I had insisted, I think it would have been ruined. The conclusion is: trust the director’s eye and leave it to him. There weren’t any pre-/post-op reviews, so I was frustrated, and I thought there might be someone like me, so even though it’s a hassle, I’m writing this. If you want natural, refined, golden-ratio proportions, I can say this is the place.
