I had nostril lowering, nasal tip suturing, silicone implant for the nasal bridge, and surgery for a deviated septum!
The original plan was just to lower my nostrils because they were too upturned, but I was told that, given the structure of my nose, the entire nose would need to be adjusted, so I had the nasal tip done as well. I didn’t know this, but they said the inside of my nose was crooked, so I also had deviated septum surgery. (As for the silicone, people around me recommended putting it in since the nose was already going to be opened haha..)
The surgery was done under general anesthesia, and the first week was really hard. Because cotton was packed inside my nose, I would wake up while sleeping because I felt like I couldn’t breathe. More than anything, since I couldn’t wash properly, it felt like my skin had become two layers from all the facial oil.
I had the splint removed on day 7, and the first look I saw after removing the splint wasn’t the shape I had wanted. So I thought it was a failure, but as the swelling went down, the shape completely changed. At first, it looked like a human-faced fish, with a straight line continuing from the brow bone all the way to the nasal tip, but now the line starts from a point slightly lower than the brow bone and flows in a curved shape down to the nasal tip.
Now, after the deviated septum surgery, I can breathe well, and although the nostrils initially showed almost no change, over time they have gradually been coming down along with the nasal tip. The nasal bridge has also settled well, so I’m very satisfied haha
