I count the day after surgery as day 1! :) This is a very long review... Because it was so hardㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ̆̎ㅋ̐̈ㅋ̊̈ㅋ̄̈ please use it as reference
day2) Bloody phlegm is insane. Because of the bloody phlegm, it gets stuck in my throat and I can’t sleep. And cracking/throbbing, heat flushing, the pain keeps coming up. My sore throat was at its peak in the morning, but by evening it got a bit better. I tried to take a walk, but when I walked my head hurt so much that I failed... How are you supposed to walk from the day after surgery.. Is that possible?
I went around without a mask and people stared like crazy. My face really looks like Dooly.
I can barely talk. When I talk, I sound impaired...
Oh and sleeping is so hard. When I press down to sleep, bloody phlegm boils up, when I lie down bloody phlegm boils up, I feel like I’m dying.
day3) As expected, the bloody phlegm is insane. My lips are like pollock roe. They’re all swollen, so I peel at them. Throbbing, tingling, every part hurts... Who said it doesn’t hurt? My throat still seems to hurt (kind of like when you have a sore throat from a cold). I don’t think my sore-throat feeling is that severe. Some people said it felt like it was tearing, but since it’s not that bad for me.
As expected, walking failed. It’s too hard. My voice barely comes out either. Pronunciation only made with my tongue.
day4) Bloody phlegm comes out sometimes. Why is my nose blocked today? I wanted to eat so, so much that I chopped up pho and ate it. My lips still look like pollock roe. When I woke up in the morning, it hurt so much that I woke up, but unexpectedly I slept without waking until 6, then lay down again and slept until 12.... My face seems even more swollen. Why do I get so much eye discharge... Today, I tried taking a walk for the first time. Walking with the compression band on seems a bit better.
I’m not supposed to eat, but my appetite exploded, so I’m chopping things like ramen really finely and eating them almost like drinking... I mean, how are you supposed to survive on porridge.. You think it sounds easy? Only eating soy milk, porridge, things like that... I absolutely can’t last. In less than two hours, my stomach is empty...
day5) Bloody phlegm comes out sometimes. My nose is a bit blocked too. I had the tape removed today, and it wasn’t that painful, just numb/tingly. I felt absolutely nothing when the zygoma stitches were removed. Finally, the things attached to my face are gone, but my face is totally;;; sorry-looking. What’s wrong with my lips?
My cheekbones somehow look bumpyㅠㅠ The nurse said my cheeks are extremely swollen. Today I walked without the compression band and it was nice.
But the swelling inside my mouth bothers me so much. It feels like I’m walking around with a mouthpiece in my mouth? Should I say it feels like I have one Oh Yes snack stuck on each side of my mouth? It sucks. This really bothers me a lot !!!!!!! It’s not just like that for 10 minutes; imagine walking around all day with Oh Yes snacks placed vertically on both sides of your mouth and by the front teeth... Other things didn’t bother me, but this is seriously soooooooo uncomfortable.
You’ll know what I mean.
From nighttime, I’ve been applying warm compresses.
day6) Bloody phlegm comes out sometimes. The swelling inside my mouth still bothers me (feels like Oh Yes is stuck in there). Still swollen, and if I don’t wear a mask people stare. I still have cheekbone pain and chin-tip pain.
But seriously, why do my cheekbones look so bumpy;; I thought if I shaved down my cheekbones, it would become a straight line (from the temple line to the cheek line).
When I take pictures, it does seem like it has reduced somehow, but in a front-view mirror shot, it looks bumpy, so I still don’t like it. I want to hear from people who’ve had this surgery. This bothers me like crazy ㅡㅡ
day7) There is still bloody phlegm... or sometimes just phlegm comes out. I don’t know why, but throat pain suddenly appeared on day 6 or day 5. That feeling where your jaw hurts sharply when you gulp down water..? It’s different from a sore throat from a cold... What is thisㅜㅜ
And from the beginning, I never had any part with no sensation at all, and at least 80% or more of sensation was there everywhere.. Of course, I haven’t opened my mouth yet, so I haven’t checked inside my mouth, but I can feel all sensation with my tongue.
But I do have pain at the surgical sites. People say the surgical sites are bone so they don’t hurt, but my chin tip hurts, and my cheekbone area also throbs sometimes. It’ll be okay... right?
Oh, and something important!!!!!!! I noticed today... Actually, objectively speaking, my skin is on the good side. Except for one or two pimples during my period, I lived without knowing anything about acne, and I didn’t even know what blackheads were. Aside from a few freckles and having yellow-toned skin in shade 23, it was neutral, not-bad skin.
So I don’t really take care of my skin either, and I barely use masks.. I only apply toner and lotion sometimes.
But what I realized while doing this surgery: My skin got bad enough for even someone as dull as me to notice. By “my skin got bad,” I don’t mean something is breaking out, but especially around my nose, my skin feels kind of bumpy (is this blackheads..?) And even basic skincare products don’t absorb and pill! For the first time in a while, I applied the horse oil cream and sunscreen I usually use, and found that they clump like dead skin and don’t absorb..;;;; I don’t know why my skin suddenly became this crappy.
While doing facial contouring, around day 5, as my balloon-like face started to come back little by little, scales? dead skin? things like that appeared on my skin. It felt like my skin was shedding somehow...?
Anyway, my skin is very bad right now. I’m doing an eggplant mask.. It’ll come back, right?ㅠㅠ Does everyone else’s skin get worse too... Is this normal..
I’ve tried leaving a detailed facial contouring review like this. I don’t know if it’s just me, but my cheekbones did not dramatically disappear into a straight line...;;;; Is it just me;;;;;
Oh, and at one week, you can’t go around looking like a person. I look like a monster.. Kind of, uh.. hmm, it’s like that ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ I go around wearing a hat and a mask ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ And I’m so hungryㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ I’m causing chaos cutting up things like cake and melting bread to eat, so yeahㅎ
Anyway, the side effects I’ve felt so far: Sensation is very slightly strange, it is very!!! uncomfortable and awful like having Oh Yes stuck inside my mouth, cheekbone and chin-tip throbbing, skin got worse, throat hurts damn badly, bloody phlegm comes out like crazy, I don’t know why my ears hurt but my ears hurt, cheekbones are still bumpy.
I will not disclose the hospital information separately, and I do not plan to reply to posts requesting information!
