I had surgery in Seoul when I was in high school, and over time the line dropped into a hidden double eyelid and loosened up. So I went back and only re-did the loosened side at one place, then wanted to raise the line a little more, so I had incision revision surgery, eye correction, and combined canthoplasty in Seomyeon, Busan, and it was a total disaster. I really had no idea I would be the one to end up ruined, haha. Since it was an incision, they said there was no adhesion at all like with a buried method, and it seemed like someone skilled had done the surgery, so they said revision would be easy, but they messed it up. Hahahahahahahahaha Even after 6 months, the line was still way too high, and even I could tell it looked strange. If I didn’t put on makeup, I really looked like a monster, and with makeup it was only somewhat okay. As time passed, I thought it had turned out okay in its own way, but people kept saying it looked like a sausage eye, that the way people opened their eyes looked strange, and asking why so much of the pupil showed so unnervingly, and that the line was too high, that I should probably do it again, that it seemed like a failure, and several people said that. One eye became an in-out shape and the other became out, with a double fold. The canthoplasty left scars, made the area red, and made my eyes uneven, and the biggest problem was that my eyes wouldn’t close. I slept with my eyes half-open and the whites showing, my vision dropped a lot, I had tear stains, and it felt unbearably painful and dry. I was stressed and didn’t want to look in the mirror. You know how miserable it feels when people say you looked better before plastic surgery. When I went back after one year, they said my eyes were pretty, there was no problem, and I was just sensitive, haha. In the end I had revision surgery by another director, and when the director who performed the revision opened it up, he said, “You should have come to me from the start...” and that it was much worse than he expected, that my eyes had been ruined and everything had to be loosened and torn apart, and that he wasn’t even sure it could be made pretty. He also complained about the doctor who had done the first surgery, saying the adhesion was as bad as stone and that it was a mess. He said the eye correction was overcorrected and a mess, and one side’s canthoplasty scar was so severe that it couldn’t even be touched, so we’d have to do that later, asking whether the original surgery was really done properly and getting angry about how bad it was. The operation took 2 hours and 30 minutes, and they said it was a record-level revision surgery. Other directors even came to watch, and were like, wow, what is this? Luckily, the director doing the revision was highly skilled, so a lot was corrected, the overcorrection improved, the line was lowered, and the double fold still appears when I open my eyes with force, but when I open them normally it’s no longer visible. The canthoplasty was also adjusted, and one scar was removed. I still suffer from dry eye syndrome, and because so much tissue was cut away in the failed surgery, my eyes close better than before but still do not close completely. Time is said to be the best medicine. You really need to go to a director who is skilled, and even if things go wrong, have eye surgery with someone who takes responsibility. Make sure to get the AS period. A proper clinic will fix it if it looks strange and uncomfortable to anyone. The Seoul hospital offered free AS even 3 years later. The reason I didn’t go there was because they said they wouldn’t do canthoplasty. I really escaped from that hellish feeling of burning eyes, and now people say my eyes are pretty, and when I walk down the street I get asked for my number because I’m so pretty. The director who did that major reconstruction didn’t even charge me much, so the only way I can repay them is by posting reviews here and there. Some people suspect I’m a broker, but the people who doubt and nitpick are the brokers, in my opinion. They keep promoting their own faces even though they’ve never had anything done to them... I wish they would just disappear. Thinking about how my plastic surgery was ruined because of brokers, I want to spread the word even more so others won’t fail, since I personally experienced a place that fixed my surgery well.
I won’t mention the hospital.
