After going around to consultations, I chose a clinic and had the surgeryㅠㅠ
Revision rhinoplasty (using autologous costal cartilage + short nose correction + columella surgery + contracted nose correction + nostril base reduction)
Before the surgery, I told the director that if the bridge of my nose seemed too low, since they were harvesting autologous costal cartilage anyway, I’d like them to use it on the nasal bridge too. But after the surgery, while I was in the recovery room, the director had gone into another surgery, so I couldn’t askㅠㅠ I’m going tomorrow for disinfection and dressing, so I’m going to ask then..
+Added on July 10: They said they used autologous costal cartilage for the nasal bridge..! They had also kept the silicone that had been inside my nose for 9 years together with my chartㅎㅎ
Really, just like people say, the nose hurts about as much as I expected, but the autologous costal cartilage harvest site hurts insanely badlyㅠㅠ Every time I cough, it feels like it’s going to burst, and the pain feels like all my ribs have been crushedㅠㅠ It hurts lying down and it hurts sitting up..
My nose still has the splint on, so I can’t really tell yet, but I’m thinking of uploading here once a week (and occasionally if there’s anything unusual). I’m praying this will please be my last surgeryㅠㅠㅠ
My original nose was a semi-ski-slope shape + upturned nose, and 9 years after my first surgery I felt contracture progressing, so today I had revision surgery to slightly lengthen it and bring it down!
It was done under sedation, so it was safe, but I’m a bit of an unusual case and tend to wake up easily, so I think I woke up about twice. I don’t know if it was a dream, but I think I screamed because it hurt so muchㅠㅠㅠ If I ever have surgery on any area again, I’m going to choose general anesthesiaㅠㅠㅠ
I’ll see you in future reviews~^^
