Nose Surgery Reviews@rhino-review

Homme & Femme review

After surgery in 2020, I decided I had waited long enough for the recovery and am leaving a review. The procedure was bridge augmentation + tip surgery. The conclusion is that I am planning a revision at another hospital. The doctor's consultation was kind and detailed. I am very dissatisfied with the surgical results. 1. Severe left-right asymmetry. => I don't know if the silicone bent or shifted to one side, but after the first surgery the silicone kept moving left and right and would not stay fixed, so they had to operate twice again at one-week intervals (two surgeries one week apart under anesthesia). As of 2021, the tip and bridge are not in a straight line. It is not something you can just ignore; the tip and bridge lines are obviously misaligned at a glance. For reference, my original nose was crooked and my face was asymmetrical, so that may be part of it. Still, what is certain is that during the first surgery the silicone was not fixed, so the silicone in the bridge area moved left and right, which led to two revision surgeries one week apart.

2. The tip is lifted. My original tip was blunt, but during the consultation I was told that because I had good tip cartilage, they could create a sharper tip shape. As a result, the tip did become sharper. But compared to before surgery, the tip is now lifted upward, so from the side and from above it looks sharp, but from the front the tip gathers upward and the nostrils are much more exposed than before, so my nose hairs are visible.

3. The nasal contour is not distinct from the front. I thought the swelling was lasting a long time and the contour was not showing yet, but after waiting more than a year, it does not seem to be because of swelling. From the side the nose looks sharper, but from the front there is almost no contour, so it looks like there are only nostrils.

4. The tip is still numb. The nasal tip has become very hard, and when I gently touch it with my hand, there is still a strange foreign feeling and numbness, as if it were not my own flesh. There will definitely be individual differences, but in my case the tip is very hard + strange + numb, and it is severe
