I went for a consultation about medial epicanthoplasty restoration.. My eyes are in a somewhat ambiguous state, so I think the doctor couldn't give me a clear-cut consultation either. Even while listening, I couldn't really tell whether it would be better to do it or just leave it as is. On my right side, the lacrimal caruncle is slightly visible and it has a hook shape, and on the left side the lacrimal caruncle is visible to an appropriate degree, but the epicanthal fold remains long, so the hook is deeper than on the right. My glabella is also on the wider side.. They said that if I do restoration, I should carefully weigh the pros and cons before doing it.. They said it is not a surgery to change the hook shape, but a surgery to cover the lacrimal caruncle. It was a bit frustrating because there was no definite answer, but I liked that the consultation seemed honest.
