It has been 10 months since I had epicanthoplasty restoration. My life fell into hell. During the pre-surgery consultation, they assured me it was a micro-restoration and the amount of restoration was small, so there would be almost no scarring, which is why I chose it. The result is that I developed depressed scars, white scars, and raised scars on both eyes, and skin adhesion inside formed in the shape of a fingernail scar. As for the shape, one side developed a small ㄷ-shaped deformity, and the other side has no deformity but is a bomb of white scarring.
My previous eyes were sharp because of the epicanthoplasty, but they had absolutely no scars. After getting scars like this, I developed panic disorder and can’t even breathe properly.
The scarring is so much worse than the shape that I just look in the mirror every day and became depressed. The hospital said we should try treating it with regenerative injections (PDRN salmon injections), so I received 3 sessions, but there was no effect at all. After consultations at other restoration hospitals and dermatology clinics, they said it would be a miracle if depressed scars improved with that injection. In conclusion, it means it’s pointless.
When I requested aftercare revision, at first they refused; the second time, they said they could try zero restoration; on my third visit, when I said I would receive aftercare revision, they changed their words and refused. The doctor said that if they did aftercare revision, it could become worse than the current scars, but asked whether I still wanted to do it. I was so desperate that I said I would still try it, and then they refused again. (Then why did you ask?)
The doctor just left in the middle of the consultation, and from now on, face-to-face consultations are not possible because the doctor refused them; only consultations with the consultant are possible. They said the doctor would answer online only if I was curious about a medical opinion.
Aside from this, the consultant kept lying endlessly and made me suffer for months. They said consultation reservations were fully booked and only scheduled me before business hours or at closing time, but when I inquired about a reservation under a friend’s name, they answered that consultation times were wide open and any time was fine lol. When I used vacation time and visited at the time the hospital said was available, there was not even one of the people who had supposedly made it so crowded; they had cleared everyone out.
Why does aftercare revision even exist? Aftercare revision that ends if the doctor refuses. I’m also a customer who paid money and had surgery here. Does refusing consultation and refusing care make sense?
They only care about marketing on YouTube, blogs, and plastic surgery apps, and aftercare responsibility is entirely the patient’s burden. (In fact, when I spoke with the consultation manager on the phone, they said they had no responsibility for the scarring^^)
