1. Reason for surgery
My under-eye area usually looked hollow, making me look tired, and it seemed even more noticeable in photos, so I decided to have the surgery.
2. Pain and discomfort
I had under-eye fat repositioning and under-eye fat grafting together. Since I had sedation anesthesia, I didn’t feel any pain during the surgery. After I woke up from the anesthesia, rather than feeling pain, it felt heavy. I think “stiff and sore” would be more accurate.
3. Swelling
Honestly, having surgery on Saturday and going to work on Monday is... Unless you recover extremely well, I think it would be difficult. I felt it took about 3 full weeks before it looked acceptable. The hard feeling under my eyes improved a lot after about two months.
4. Cost
The cost varies greatly from clinic to clinic. After going around for consultations, places that were definitely somewhat famous and seemed specialized clinics were priced up to the mid-1 million won range... Others were around 1 million won...
