They led me to a consultation room with belongings on the chair.. I don’t know if it was storage or someone else’s stuff. I feel like at the very least, the consultation room should be tidy. As soon as I sat down, they asked what consultation I wanted and rattled off my surgical history. They spoke extremely fast. At first, I filled out the chart for a double eyelid consultation, but suddenly they asked if I was also considering canthoplasty, then suddenly told me to go outside and sit. The first consultation with the manager was already over. I sat in the lobby and waited for about 1-2 minutes, then went in for the director’s consultation. He was somewhat older. They said he is the sole director. He felt blunt but warm.. As soon as I sat down, he asked about my needs, and when I said I wanted my eyes to look bigger, he asked if I felt the eye length was lacking. I felt like the consultation was subtly flowing toward canthoplasty. He held the double eyelid line several times and measured the eye length and width with a ruler. He directly mentioned the term “Wonder Canthoplasty” and said I should do this for the length to become longer and the eyes to look more open. He said the bone protrudes, making the eyes look covered. Since exposing the covered skin would make the line more visible even at the same height, he recommended incisional ptosis correction + Wonder Canthoplasty. He strongly recommended canthoplasty and personally showed multiple before-and-after photo cases. Unlike Premier, **he said the distance between my eyes and eyebrows is not on the close side**. After the director’s consultation, the manager gave the final consultation. As soon as I sat in the consultation room, they opened a PPT and explained their clinic’s Wonder Canthoplasty. They said Wonder Canthoplasty is only performed at their clinic, and other clinics just change the name and perform lateral + lower canthoplasty. They spoke quickly, and their tone was kind of strong? They seemed very proud. If viewed positively, it could look confident, but I didn’t really feel they were kind... They said other clinics have side effects such as a ㄷ-shaped eye, sad-looking eyes, and inability to smile with the eyes, but their canthoplasty method does not. Surgery duration: 2 hours A/S and follow-up care: free within 1 year, swelling laser and scar-tissue injections free Anesthesia method: local anesthesia (not even brief sedation, completely full local) Cost: Wonder Canthoplasty 1.32 million + incisional ptosis correction 2.5 million If done together, 3.82 million > same-day decision discount down to 3.5 million Card and cash price the same; condition of writing a review with partial-photo provision on Babitalk Operating room CCTV availability: viewing available; they said since it’s entirely local anesthesia, there’s no particular need to watch it. ♦️Pressure to pay a reservation deposit: severe.... I said I’m an office worker, so I might be able to schedule it during the Chuseok holiday in September, and they said by then the event would be over and the cost would go up, so they wouldn’t discount even 100,000 won, and that even if the schedule was undecided, if I paid the reservation deposit before leaving, they would match the same cost. I said I still had a few consultations left and would think about it more, and they asked why I wouldn’t put it down when it’s fully refundable anyway. Even when I said I still needed to think, their expression hardened completely. I was somewhat drawn in during the director’s consultation, but if I had surgery, the manager later seemed like the type who would not manage patients at all, and if I contacted them with questions or anxiety, they probably wouldn’t even check progress... They were like that even before surgery, so after surgery it seemed they would be even more the type to only say what they want, so I changed my mind. I think the manager ruins the image completely. When I asked if there was a consultation fee, they looked offended, went completely stern, cut me off, and said, “Yes.” ♦️Notable points: I heard it’s popular these days, but there were no consultation customers, and I was the only one in the hospital. Maybe because of that, everything felt like it moved in one stroke. First consultation - director consultation - final consultation all cut to 25 minutes. It’s a hospital with such strong pride in Wonder Canthoplasty that some people may think it’s trustworthy, but I think opinions will be divided.
