Added on June 30) I had surgery on May 22, and I’m planning to go in for a consultation with the director because I can clearly feel the start of the silicone at the glabella and the boundary of the silicone on the left bridge, and I can see the nasal tip cartilage. I had no major complaints only up to the first week.. I should have just done fillers
Hello, some people said the post-op-day review was helpful, so I want to talk about what I experienced up through day 7 after surgery~
I had surgery with bridge silicone + ear cartilage at the nasal tip + septum + chin implant, and I asked for it to look as natural as possible.
First, I visited on the day of surgery, day 2, day 3, and today, day 7. On days 2 and 3, I got swelling laser treatment and antibiotic injections, and today, day 7, the stitches on the outside of my nose were removed and the splint came off (the taping on my chin was also removed). The rest of the stitches will be removed next week, on day 14!!
1. Uncomfortable things I felt from after surgery until day 7 - I can’t smile. The muscles in the human face are amazingly precise, so when I smile the nasal splint kind of lifts and moves and pulls, and since I also had taping on my chin implant, facial expressions were almost impossible.
- Since I can’t wash properly, oil keeps pouring down. Even after washing my face twice, the oil still isn’t gone.
- My nose itches sometimes.
- If you have a chin implant, it’s hard to open your mouth more than one finger width. I can barely brush my teeth with the smallest toothbrush, and because I can’t move my mouth freely, food always gets stuck in my cheek or lower gums (in front of the front teeth).
- Except for the first day, the ear stitches don’t hurt much, so I keep forgetting I need to be careful.
- I think I slept on my side quite a few times, but nothing seems wrong.
- Even after the packing is out of my nose, my nose gets blocked often (this might be because I had a cold coming on) ->> let me correct this!!! My nose felt completely blocked, so just in case I cleaned the inside with a cotton swab... oh my goodness... If you feel like you can’t breathe, use a cotton swab to remove the clumps inside your nose (they were pretty gross). Your nose opens right up.
- Even after the packing is removed, I still breathe through my mouth a lot.
- The stitches were.. tolerable...
2. What I felt when the splint came off. - The noses we get from plastic surgery are strong.
I once posted in a nose forum that on day 4 after surgery I had hit my nose with my finger But listen, today when the splint was removed... oh my, oh my~ I had no idea the skin on my nose would be pulled that hard. Everyone, once you’ve had your splint removed, you’ll know, but your nose will absolutely not get crooked just because a finger pokes it or touches it At the force level of splint removal, ordinary daily life won’t be a problem (all good)
3. Worries going forward... I attached photos above, but... —->>> Correction. I looked at it for a long time in the mirror and also took side-view photos to check, and the more I look, the more I think my nose is fine now, so I’m actually very satisfied I guess I’ll have to see later how much the glabella or nasal tip drops. At first I wondered if it looked too strange..
