I had double eyelid surgery at Banobagi Plastic Surgery at the end of December 2017. The main characteristics of this director are that he usually performs the surgery with the buried-suture method whenever possible, and that he does not do unnecessary medial epicanthoplasty. Honestly, I thought the distance between my eyes wasn’t wide, so I didn’t want medial epicanthoplasty because I thought it would look strange, but other clinics all said I needed it. However, Director Park Sun-jae at Banobagi recommended only the buried-suture method, so I went ahead with it. (The price was over 2 million won.) First of all, what surprised me the most after surgery was that after about 2 weeks, my eyes looked like those of someone who had had double eyelid surgery a year ago. I was taken aback because there was really no swelling. I heard the director is originally famous for doing surgery with minimal swelling. The surgery really turned out “natural.” Thanks to that, unless I bring it up first, no one knows I had surgery. Personally, I do not recommend it for people who want a definite change. Currently, I do have double eyelids, but my eyelids cover them quite a bit, so I’m planning to have medial epicanthoplasty + revision surgery.
