6 years ago, I got double eyelid surgery in the provinces and it turned out badly, so 3 years later I had revision surgery at LK Plastic Surgery in Seoul. The revision surgery cost was quite expensive, but I felt like I really couldn’t leave it as it was, so I looked around for hospitals that were good at revision surgery. One place was a hospital that advertised quite a lot on social media, and the other was a hospital I found through a friend’s recommendation. When I had a consultation at the first hospital, rather than feeling like they were giving me a professional consultation, I very strongly felt like they saw me simply as a way to make money. Instead of a thorough consultation, they were busy rushing me, saying I had to get surgery quickly and had to pay the deposit first. Since it was revision surgery, it was something I needed to choose carefully, but I just couldn’t trust them. On the other hand, at the second hospital I went to, the director was very meticulous, and I remember how they considered everything in detail from start to finish while matching the eye style I wanted. And the counseling manager there also said to avoid hospitals that recommend revision surgery unconditionally without any plan. Revision surgery is already very costly, and they’re operating again with a scalpel on eyes that have already been worked on, so if you rush into it and then don’t like it again and have another revision, the eyes can end up looking worse than if you had done nothing.. Overall, I felt that was true. After my first surgery, my double eyelid lines were asymmetrical, but they made them symmetrical, and also made the thick lines thinner and more natural, so now I’m living very satisfied~ I guess plastic surgery really should be done in Seoul lol If anyone is looking into revision surgery, rather than blindly going to a famous hospital known for being good, I hope you carefully check whether they specialize in revision surgery or whether the director provides detailed, meticulous care including thorough follow-up management, and I hope you also read lots of other reviews for reference~
