I got my first incisional double-eyelid surgery here, and although they said they did incisional surgery together with eye-opening correction, because it was an out-line, I lived with sausage-like eyes for a while and eventually it came undone, so I went to Seoul and had revision surgery 3 years later. But during the consultation, I went with my mom, and because I apparently didn’t resemble her much, they asked if I was her biological daughter, which felt like a jab at my mom being ugly, and that left a bad impression. Even though I had ended up looking like a sausage, they still said it would get better over time. It wasn’t as if I had been told from the start not to do an out-line, and the doctor had said it would be fine and suit me. But I still doubt whether the eye-opening correction was really done. That’s because when I went to Seoul for revision surgery, I had the eye-opening correction done again, and now, 4 years later, it hasn’t loosened and my eyes look bright and alert.
