It was my first consultation, so I was nervous, but the doctor listened calmly and gave the feeling of quietly waiting to see if I had any more questions. He did not mention rib cartilage at all, and explained that even though it is a small nose, the septum is sufficient, so we should use ear cartilage (one side) + 4 mm silicone.
When I asked whether I should get functional nose surgery because I have rhinitis, he said it was not a structural problem like a deviated septum, but seasonal and temperature-related rhinitis, so the mucous membrane only swells at those times. Even if I had surgery, the symptoms would return, so it would not be necessary.
The manager was also kind, and without me even asking, they brought up CCTV and said there was no need to worry about proxy surgery because the only person at this clinic who can perform nose surgery is Director Kook, and he would absolutely not leave during the operation! There was a long gap before surgery (3 months. I will do it during Chuseok), so I could come back for another consultation in between, and of course on the day itself I would go in after consulting with the doctor. They also matched the date to the Thursday of the Chuseok holiday, which I really appreciated. (The schedule had not even been released yet, but when I said that if I did it on that day because of work it would fit my schedule perfectly, they immediately discussed it with the doctor and staff and told me it should be possible.)
The surgery time is expected to be 1 hour 30 minutes. I had a 22-minute consultation with the doctor and a 30-minute consultation with the manager. The manager also paid close attention to the notebook I brought and checked it while saying that it looked like I had done a lot of research.
