3 years after rhinoplasty, please choose implants carefully

Three years after my nose surgery, I had the implant removed today. I didn’t have inflammation or contracture. There was an implant called Medpor inside my nose. After surgery, while I was looking up information before getting the stitches removed, I found out that the implant they had called an artificial septum was Medpor. I saw posts saying that if inflammation occurs, the nose can severely contract, it adheres to my own tissue and cartilage so removal is difficult, and if it is grafted close to the skin, because it is such a hard implant, there is a very high possibility it can break through and come out, so conscientious doctors these days don’t use it. When I went to the hospital and said I hadn’t known that the artificial septum was Medpor and asked for early removal, the director said it was an implant doctors have divided opinions about, and that silicone and Medpor are the same. He said the clinic had been operating all this time because nothing unusual had happened, and that as long as there was no inflammation, there was no problem and no need to remove it in advance. He also said it had been placed deep under the skin, so I didn’t need to worry at all. I believed that and lived for about three years, but then I suddenly thought that if it became inflamed and I had it removed, it would contract, and then they say you need costal cartilage, but I didn’t want to use costal cartilage. Since you never know when inflammation will happen, I removed it when I had time. The shape after surgery was pretty, but one side of my septum was deviated, so for three years it was uncomfortable to breathe and I couldn’t smell well either It was my fault for rashly putting down a deposit and being uninformed, but if a hospital ever recommends Medpor to you, I hope you firmly avoid it. There is a reason many doctors don’t use it. The hospitals I went to for removal consultations also said Medpor is an implant that absolutely has to be removed.
