My jaw itself is small and I don’t really have fat under my chin, but only the area under my jaw was bulging, so I kept wondering what on earth it was... Then I found out about salivary gland Botox and tried it. I don’t remember the name of the clinic where I had it done, but I went somewhere in the Cheongdam area. I had a consultation there, then they applied numbing cream right away and I got the injections. They said the effect lasts 6-9 months, and although one session is not enough, if you get it twice, the effect of reducing the salivary glands may be permanent. There wasn’t anything particularly extremely uncomfortable. It just felt a bit numb/tingly, and for about 2 months I occasionally had an uncomfortable feeling when swallowing saliva. I also produced less saliva than before. This is a bit gross, but... lol sometimes when brushing my teeth, it felt like the saliva came out slightly clumped together. Honestly, I’m not sure there was a dramatic effect. It sort of seems like my jawline looks sharper than before, but also maybe not. But I naturally tend to have a lot of saliva in my mouth, so I’m satisfied just with the reduced saliva, and I’d be willing to do it one more time for a permanent effect.
